4.05 Edit Layers/Levels (LA)
FUNCTION: The Edit Layers/Levels routine is used to create drawing layers and set the layer properties.
Activate the Edit Layers/Levels routine by picking from the CAD menu; by pressing [Alt][C], [E]; or by typing the two-letter command LA at any data entry prompt.

Edit Layers/Levels is not an actual "Sight" Survey routine, but when activated, "Sight" Survey starts the Layer Manager (in AutoCAD/IntelliCAD) or the Level Manager (in MicroStation). Using the Layer (or Level) Manager you can:
add layers;
delete layers;
assign linetypes, weights, and colors;
freeze and thaw layers;
set the current or active layer;
hide or show layers.
