Point Cloud Setup

Point Cloud comes with 2 point cloud engines;  Tesseract, and 3DTK.  Point cloud setup allows the user to choose which point cloud engine to use.  The table found in the Importing a Cloud chapter shows the different formats each engine supports.


Tesseract: Using the Tesseract engine is recommended for all new projects.  With the Tesseract engine you can work with clouds that have up to a billion points.  

3DTK: With the 3DTK Point Cloud engine you can work with clouds that have hundreds of millions of points.
