Make User-Defined Surface
This command makes a surface from the entities on the layers
defined as user-defined targets in the Define Layer
Target/Material/Subgrade command. The purpose of user-defined
surfaces is for modeling surfaces besides existing ground and
design. The drawing needs to contain entities that represent the
elevations of the user-defined surface. For example, the
user-defined surface could be for alluvial soil and the drawing has
contour polylines for this surface.
There is a dialog to select which surface to make. The surface is
stored in a triangulation file that is named after the current
drawing name with the user-defined surface name appended.
This user-defined surface can be applied to Takeoff routines by
running the Set Active Surfaces command.
