Auto Point Number
If the Auto Point Number
menu item is checked then automatic point numbering is ON .
This means that, as points are created they will automatically be
assigned the next available point ID in the current coordinate file
and will be saved without any user interaction.
When auto point numbering is OFF, as points are created you will be
asked to enter the point ID. If you enter a point ID that
already exists in the coordinate file, you will be asked if you
want to overwrite the existing point or enter a new point ID.
